Stonebrook Neighborhood Watch Information

The last Neighborhood Watch meeting was at the home of Holly & Jason Rose, 4630 SW 333rd Ct. on Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 PM.

Commander Norman's notes from the May 8 meeting:

I'm confident we have identified your problem address and the possible source of the "shots" you hear from time to time as 33305 43rd Ave SW.

During the meeting we reviewed the statistics for your immediate neighborhood and found the crime rate to be on the low end of the scale.  The discussion regarding "speeders" cutting through the neighborhood between NE Tacoma and Federal Way was helpful and I think our traffic officers and patrol officers can impact this problem area.

The following actions are designed to impact our discussion items:

  • Officers BillyJack Forrester (Sun-Thur) and Gordon Morikawa (Thur-Sun) will take the lead in addressing Stonebrook neighborhood issues and should be your first point of contact for non-emergency issues.

  • The lead officers will ensure all Sector 1 officers are aware of Stonebrook issues and patrol the neighborhood and the surrounding area as time permits.

  • Residents will immediately report suspicious persons and/or vehicles using the 911 system and provide the best descriptions and vehicle information available keeping their own safety uppermost.

  • Residents will not confront vehicles or individuals.

  • Residents will provide 911 with the address 33305 43rd Ave SW (ONLY if this appears to the origin of the "shots")

  • Placing a marked patrol vehicle (ECAT) in the neighborhood from time to time to deter criminal activity  Lt. Tudor

  • Speeding vehicles on 329th between 49th Ave and Hoyt Road, 47th  Ave SW between 333rd  Ct SW and SW 325th Way,  Stop Sign violations at the intersection of 329th and 47th Ave SW (particularly 0700-0730 and early through late afternoon) - emphasis patrol by the Traffic Unit and Patrol Officers. Lt. Bensen

  • Code Enforcement at 33305 43rd Ave SW for "yard cars" and partially demolished buildings. Community Development  (Lee Bailey) supported by uniformed patrol officers
