Meeting was held in the cafeteria of
22 homes were represented
President Terri Johnson called the meeting to order at
Secretary Joel Chaplin communicated that there was a quorum in attendance.
Terri introduced board members and officers, and reviewed the agenda.
** Presidents Report **
Terri highlighted the year’s accomplishments and
improvements this year: 47th landscaping, entryway fountains, repainted
entry way signs, etc. Also, thanked
** Treasurers Report **
Terri reviewed the treasurer’s report in Mark Oswald’s absence. Terri turned the landscape budget report over to Mike Sullivan, who detailed the plans for 2002.
Terri then presented some information on why the dues are being increased. The presentation detailed the history of the dues increases and also detailed where our costs go on a yearly basis.
** Elections **
Pat Robinson was nominated and seconded. Being that Pat was the only person nominated, he was elected to another 3 year term.
** ACC Report **
Doug reminded everyone of the Holiday Light judging at
Doug’s house on 12/16 at
** Misc. **
Several discussions took place over various issues in the neighborhood and suggestions fro improvements in the coming year. Some of these are listed below
- 47th Speed Issues - Talked about the issues on 47th with speeding, drag racing, etc. Various options/suggestions about ways to reduce/eliminate speeding were discussed. Jeff Kurle re-emphasized the need to call 911 each time an incident occurs.
- Discussed possibility of presenting the 47th traffic issues to the city councils.
- Discussed the lighting at the entryways and ideas to improve the volume of lighting.
- Discussed the vandalism and the amount has been increasing.
- Will Add information to web site on how to volunteer for committee
Pat Robinson handed out awards for board members, officers and volunteers.
