** Ponds Landscaping **
Discussed the two options for the ponds proposed at January’s meeting:
1. Modify the ponds with new rock walls, landscaping, walkways, and benches to create a park area that would encourage people to enter and walk through the areas, and use the ponds areas as a park area.
2. Modify the pond areas in much the same way, minus the walkways and benches making the pond areas nicer to look at, but not encourage people to go into them.
Everyone was reminded that the meeting for the homeowners to
review is scheduled for Wednesday, February 13th, at Green Gables school
cafeteria. Peter Anderson (Landscape
Architect) will present the proposals at the meeting. We will also have a sign in sheet at the
meeting to start building a
** Security and Safety **

We also discussed other ways to improve safety around the neighborhood, and projects for the committee to start working on. Brian’s email is brian_westberg@msn.com, and his phone number is 253-941-8364.
** Mailbox **

** Architectural Control Committee **
No new submittals, requests or approvals.
- Tim Roberts was in attendance talking about the new deck with his neighbor. We discussed the precedent that might be set by the homeowner building the deck without submitting plans to the ACC. In retrospect, for this particular instance, there is nothing in the covenants that prohibits these types of decks to be built. Discussion then turned to how we enforce covenant violations retroactively (i.e. someone paints their house without getting the color approved by the ACC).

** Landscape Committee **
The entryway trees have been pruned, also cut back some of the willows and alders. H20 cleaned up on 47th.
**
- Talked about getting a newsletter out by April. Joel will head up and start requesting articles.
