Call to Order

Debra & Elizabeth called the meeting to order at 7:10: PM

Reports from Officers:

Elizabeth has ordered the new mailboxes and the installation is scheduled for April 25^th. Elizabeth asked for volunteers to hand out the keys and will coordinate the installation. We welcome Catharine Martin as the new HOA secretary. The VP position is still open; please ask your neighbors if they would be interested in participating.

** Treasurers Report                          Mike Sullivan

Dues: 6 homeowners have not paid their 2007 annual dues.  Liens will be filed in June and a letter will be mailed to the homeowners notifying them of the lien on their home.  A copy of the current budget was submitted and sent to Eric to be posted on line.

Reports from Committee Leads:

** ACC Report:                                    Eloise Trout                         

Kris Hare has joined this committee. There are no ACC forms currently submitted for approval. Evidently there are two homes that are in non-compliance. The addresses will be emailed to Teri to follow up on.

** Landscape Committee Report:    

The main entrance signs need to be power washed before the flower beds are planted. The lights still need to be replaced. The fence that runs near the trail is falling down. This will need to be fixed or replaced. Eric will get a bid from another company for comparison. Eric mentioned that the Miller Brothers need to be reminded to pick up the trash when they are mowing.

**Legal Report:                                    Teri Johnson

Teri reported that she mailed letters to the two homeowners that were non-compliant with regard to the storage trailer and snowmobile parked in the driveways of their homes.  Both homeowners have since taken care of the issue.

 Teri spoke to the HOA attorney regarding the fees and fine schedule. The first action is to send a letter to all the homeowners stating what the intention of the fees and fine schedule is. A fee/fine will only be charged as a last resort for non-compliance to the covenants.

Teri will have a letter ready in the next week to be mailed to all homeowners so they may have an opportunity to respond by the May HOA meeting.

Washington State information has been added to the sight along with spring pictures from the Stone Brook entrance.

Old Business:

Ground Water problem on 47^th Ave.

Eric Elgar reported the water problem was being worked on by Tacoma Water.

Graffiti behind the Stone Brook entrance sign:

Eric Elgar painted the Stone Brook sign to remove the graffiti. April is anti-graffiti month in Federal Way.

Annual Neighborhood Garage Sale: Eloise Trout

Eloise will place the ad in the Tacoma paper. So far only 5 homes have mailed in a check for their participation.  Debra will put the signs up on Saturday.

New Business:

Northshore Golf Course Development: Eric Elgar

Eric updated the group on the latest news from the SAVE NE TACOMA group.  This is a well organized group with several committees. Eric is on the contingency committee and will continue to represent Stone Brook. The board approved a donation of $500.00 to the group. The donation helps with the attorney costs.

Neighborhood Watch:

Holly Rose will check on setting a neighborhood watch group.  This was done years ago but has not been active for some time.
